Toon Workshop was created for people to enjoy many varieties of flash, from games, to toons, to tutorials and back. There is a PM system and forums for members to interact with one another in the community.

Most of these requirements are made for you to have the best experience while you are here. Enabling these features will not harm your computer in any way while you are on Toon-Workshop.net.

Q:What is flash and where do I get it?
A:If you don't have the latest version of flash I suggest you click here to download it. This site is based on flash content so you are going to need the latest player. Flash is one of the most common types of media around the world which can be used on almost any digital device ranging from cell phones to personal computers and such. If you would like to purchase a copy of flash then take a visit to the Adobe website and buy a copy.

Q:What is javascript and where do I get it?
A:Javascript is one of the most common scripting languages aswell as one of the most powerful. If you don't have this enabled on your browser then this site will not work for you. To enable it, go to your browser settings and scroll through the list of available functions until you reach javascript.

Q:What are cookies?
A:Cookies are little pieces of information that get stored in your computer. They allow websites to store a small amount of information to use on the website such as usernames, last time you logged in etc. If you don't have these enabled, the site will not work properly. To change this go to your browser options and enable the cookies.

Your Account

You need an account with us if you would like to participate in the competitions and topics that go on throughout our forums. Also if you have been voting on submissions why not get something for it? With us, voting on submissions will get you experience, and therefore get you a higher rank. Its easy and free to have an account so register with us today!

Q:How can I edit my submissions that have gone into the portal?
A:Take a visit to the members panel and click my submissions. Inside here, you should see a list of your submissions along with the submission scores, edit button, and respond to reviews button. You know where to go from there.

Q:How can I add or remove things from my favorites?
A:Anytime you take a look at a submission on the viewpage there is a lot of information about that submission. Take a look at the left side of the page and you will see a button that says "Add To Favorites", click this and choose where you would like the favorite on the list. To remove a submission from your favorites simply click the "X" next to the title.

Q:How do signatures work and what are they for?
A:A signature can be a very cool thing. Most of the time your signatures end up at the bottom of every post you make in the Toon Workshop Forums. Anyone can see your signature in your profile and it's easy to edit aswell. Take a visit to edit your profile and you will see the field in there to create your signature. For security reasons we only allow bbcode tags (special tags for images and links) for users to create thier signatures.

Q:How can I publish a blog and what is it for?
A:First off a blog is like an online journal where you can publish it for everyone too see. If you're a great animator and have lots of fans or followers and you want to keep them up to date, then you can publish one for them. To do this you open the members panel and click the button that says Publish Blog.

User Information

Q:How do I earn experience and what is it for?
A:Experience is one of the easiest things to earn on Toon-Workshop. Voting on 5 submissions each day will earn you 5 experience points, and eventually if you get enough your rank will go up. Experience is not only good for earning rank, but you can also spend your points in our store. You don't lose thembut every time you earn experience you earn muny!

Q:How can I get a higher rank and what are the ranks?
A:Gaining experience will get you a higher spot in the ranks unless you are a mod, spec or admin. If you are one of these three then you won't go up rank. Moderators are people who take care of what happens around the site and report anything to the admins if something is wrong. Specs are special affiliates of the site who have mod powers and can post news on the site that is important. Admins are the head honchos on this site so DON'T MESS WITH THEM :)

Q:What is muny and how do I use it?
A:Everytime you gain experience points you gain the same amount of muny, but you can spend the muny on stuff around the site. You can give it to other users and trade it for goods.
NOTE: If you are caught with two accounts you will be banned from the site and have both of your accounts deleted because you may be suspected of earning double the muny with two accounts.

Private Message System

Q:Are there any limitations to sending messages?
A:Yes there has to be limitations or the site would go wacko! Every member has a quota for how many messages they can have. All members can have up to 30 messages in thier inbox at once. If the inbox is full when someone is sending a message then the receiver won't receive them at all. Also it is stated in the terms of service that we may monitor your conversations if we have a a feeling there is something going on or wrong between two members so keep everything clean. The rules are basically the same for posting in the Forums and if you don't know what the rules are then you need to read them.

Q:How does blocking members work?
A:Blocking another member is irriversible so make sure you really want to do that before you press okay. There are many reasons you may want to block someone and we understand that people can get annoying.

Q:Sometimes I don't get some of the messages people say they sent me, why is this?
A:If you have a full inbox then you won't receive anything, you are limited to having 30 messages in your inbox unless your rank is mod or higher.

Portal

Q:How do I submit flash to the site?
A:That's another easy question. Take a trip to the portal and click that big button that says submit to the portal. Fill out the forms and make sure that your file meets the requirements. We only accept .swf files under 10MB and do not accept pornographic material. If you would like to learn more about submissions visit our terms of service page.

Q:My score is really low, can you help me?
A:Well no, your submission is judged by the members of this community and if they vote your submission low than that's what it is. If your score is below 1.75 after one hour then your submission is deleted. Sorry, but sometimes even my own submissions don't get through :P

Q:How do I vote and what does it do?
A:Voting is one of the most important features of this site, and all you have to do is visit our viewing page and click the sliding voter choosing a number from 1 to 5. Voting gives you experience and muny, you can use your muny to buy/trade things, and your experience gives you rank above other members.

Q:Can I write reviews for submissions?
A:Everyone can write reviews but we only have a few simple guidlines. Don't submit racial material, links, or spam as a review for submissions or you will be banned, and be respectful when reviewing someones submission, and give constructive or good critisism.

Forums

Q:Can I be a mod?
A:This is one of the most frequent questions I get, and the answer is simple.........NO! All of the mods who have been appointed moderators are mods for a reason. If I feel the need to have more mods then I will probably choose somone who has been a member of the site for a long time so don't ask. Also you cannot become a moderator by gaining experience.

Q:Can I post in the forums?
A:Sure but please read the rules below very carefully.

OVERVIEW: Anyone who posts in these forums are to follow these rules. If you don't like the rules you don't need to post here or register with us. If any of our staff feel that you are not following the rules you will be dealt with by receiving a warning, or having your account suspended. RULES: SPAM: I don't know how I can stress this enough. SPAM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. First offenders will be warned. If you are caught continually spamming then your account will be suspended. The situation will determine if you get your account back or not. RACISM: Racism is another thing that will not be tollerated in these forums. This community is for EVERYONE and will not make someone not want to be here because of thier personal differences. Any rude comments, or racism will result in automatic, and instant account suspension. You may never get your account back aswell as your privelege to use this site. SEXISM: Males are not the only users of this site. You are to be respectful of both sexes.
